Family Expansion

To my beloved interwebular community
(friendlies, bloganistas, readers of the utmost kind)

I'd like to introduce you to our newest member of the family:
Say Hello to Shelterwood's Knightly Sancho

sancho

Sancho spells hi with his tongue.

sleeping sancho

And then crashes hard; he is after all, just a little puppy.  I was going to try and wait until he was officially home with us (which will be next week) but after we met him in person over the weekend, I just couldn't hold out.
I'm in deep smit.
He's the little beastie we've been waiting and planning for for ages, from his current wiggle-worm state of six pounds (the wrinkly butt stage!  swoon over the cuteness!) to the full seventy-plus pound boxer he'll become.

Oh Sancho, I can hardly wait.
Come home soon, we're ready for you!

Thanks Elly! And seriously, even with the whole herd of his brothers and sisters tromping and galloping around, HE was the heart stealer!

oh MAAAAAANNNNN i do love me some cute squishy puppy face...but my very very favourite stage of puppyhood is the 4-5 month stage where they're awkward teenagers and have what i refer to as 'puppy butt' - the wiggly hind end that sways when they walk - they haven't quite figured out what their tail is yet or how exactly to control it...anyway, since i spend my life living and breathing dogs (and cats and rabbits etc etc, but primarily dogs), i'm well practiced at the puppy swoon...and he is GORGEOUS!!! just the little being to brighten your life - beware the pathological attachment to him that will ensue (if you're anything like me - i really am hindered by a hugely unhealthy but enjoyable love for my doggy child)! give him a big face squish for me next time you see him ;)

oh, there is NOTHING like a puppy...nothing!....
I love the funny puppy smell they have....

I am with Jordan, there is something about dogchild luv that even supersedes real-kid love....they NEVER look at you and tell you you are 'stupid' or they 'hate you for ruining their lives".......:)

so happy happy for you Momma!

Are you going to nickname him Sancho Panza? I love the name you picked. The mix of your and BC's genes made a little handsome man. Your new baby is adorable :)
I smell puppy breath,
Biz

Oh god, puppy cuteness! I hope there are many more pictures to come with Mr. Sancho. You must document (if only to spoil us) when he meets the kitty boys. What! Ugh. My husband and I dream of a boxer, too. Someday when we have a home, a Sancho of sorts should grace us as well. Until then I must live with the memory of Boris (my short lived yet most vivacious boxer I had) and Mr. Sancho photos. I have a feeling him and Pierre will be very good friends. Sigh!
