I'm out of control with the mug situation. Someone should stop me (but no, really, don't stop me). The collection of handmade and vintage mugs, cups and tea service has outgrown the cupboards and now a rotating collection resides on a massive plater on the counter. I won't admit the number but I will say it's well over twenty.
But this one had a jackalope.
You know I can't say no to a jackalope.

Girl...those links are relapse! My own cupboard is running out of space, and I don't even know how to justify these purchases.
I have the same addiction... but now that I have just finished building a new studio- and some of the mugs went out there- I can have a FEW MORE in the house!
Love that one, wonderful.
Snail - HA! It's getting to the point I feel I ought to sneak them in, but BC can spot a new mug faster than the speed of light, so... yeah. I just openly confess now.
Valerianna - See? TOTALLY and excuse to resupply the house. I approve!
Teal PANTS! I need more mugs too...
A jackalope? Who could blame ya....
Cat - Yup. On both accounts!
Jaime - Right?
That's a very pretty mug. I like the colour.
Love! Thank goodness (maybe) we live in a small house or my collections would get out of hand! I looked at that etsy shop and am dying for the squirrel mug...
I confess after years of favouring the cup and saucer I am completely smitten with mugs. Balancing a baby & mug is so much more practical, and well, mugs just feel so good! Love to you xx
I think lots of mugs are neccessary to cope with whatever mood I might wake up in each day ~ or to counteract it? The color, shape and feel of my mug is a cozy little talisman which I can change as needed! Makes sense to me to have a bunch. :)
I too have the same addiction and now it has been made much worse, I learned to throw on the potters wheel and now I also make my own. Like I didn't have enough from other sources!
