Can I photographically gush for a bit on how enamored I am with my little town?
I am the girl who, two weeks into a relationship, decides she has fallen in love. I'm a fool for the turning tide of Autumn, the marriage of cold air and rosy cheeks, the sweep of fog across the valley and the break of sunlight dancing on dew. I walk outside and fill my lungs with the scent of our affair. I fill my hands with the colors of fire and twirl my fingertips along trails of moss. I'm a hopeless romantic when it comes to these things and they know it.
I NEVER HAD A CHANCE
AND THAT'S QUITE ALRIGHT WITH ME

I am a hopeless romantic for these things too Miss Umber, and am wooed by those misty mountains and autumnal foilage completely. Beautiful, just breathtaking...
What a feast for my city eyes...Enjoy every page and thanks for sharing!
Fall! I love fall. My heart aches for fall. My legs get wobbly for fall. My eyes tear up and cheeks get pink with delight all for fall.
It's my favorite season and i miss it with a passion.
Thanks for the beautiful pictures.
I've been aching to photograph that shed! Glad to see it's appearance here.
I'm new to your blog and so far have enjoyed looking through your posts...just lovely! Where is Northbend...looks like BC to me but I can't tell.
Thanks for sharing!
Johanna
Ladies Who Love Fall: Will you please all arrive tonight promptly at five for tea and hot toddies? We can swoon and fill our pockets with brightly colored leaves together.
Johanna, Hello Hello! It's not toooo far from BC; North Bend is about 30 miles outside of Seattle, and the mountain in the first pic is our own Mt. Si.
...i promise...i won't tell...your man...of this affair... shhhh...i hope it lasts...4evR...
Gorgeous photos! If I had visions like that where I live, I'd never leave. Is there room for me and my dog in that shed?
Thank you so very much for this cool drink of home, may her graces continue to fulfill and astound you.
i too like bending north.
you make that porch look fine.
XO
Oh yes...North Bend is a special place indeed! I grew up in Redmond, so that whole eastside is near and dear to my heart. I live in Oly now, but you can believe that everytime I drive across the mountains I stop in N.B. for some fresh air and a stretch. It's a bit of a ritual. You are lucky. I always thought it would be wonderful to wake up every morning to see Mt. Si towering above me. Thank you so much for the pics- they are gorgeous!
i like those fire-trees in photo 3! sometimes i feel like that. like i'm just standing there all still minding my own business and then suddenly i burst into flame. only sometimes i think no one can really see it...except those who really see me. thanks for seeing my flame from afar.
it looks like a beautiful little town, quite different than Capitol Hill! It seems like the "heart" of you and BC.
