Sigh. I cannot explain how utterdly delightful these day-in-the-life posts are. This one especially...when I was feeling so sad for myself to not be celebrating with you - it's as if I were.

Melissa, I'm so close to going out and buying product I can taste it! I really can hardly wait for mini pomade spikes!
Mme - Guilty. I totally stitched those [borderline pornographic] jeans up with mini patches in bright colors. I couldn't get rid of them. They've been with me for too long.
Oh! And the dress... I treated myself to a new dress, just for my birthday. Spend the afternoon one day last week trolling about in the little shops and boutiques in Arcata and bought the one I felt most beautiful in. It was worth it.
Thank you so much for allowing us to spend the birthday with you. It truly looks as though you had a wonderful day, and yes that boxer is definetly got a car butt he looked very comfortable and just a chillin in that backseat quite delighful he has as we often say here in this house a car ass.hee hee. So glad you had a great day .

Lucy - That's exactly what it is, and OH do I love it. It is absolute birthday tradition for the dolled up strawberries to be served for breakfast, which then leads to a flurry of sour cream and brown sugar for the rest of the week. As in, right now. I may need a bite...
